Tencent Expands Global Access to Hy3 AI Model

Tencent expanded the global availability of its flagship AI model, Hy3, on Wednesday. The model is now accessible to international developers, enterprises, and users through the TokenHub model platform, the Tencent Design Miora creation studio, and the WorkBuddy workplace agentic tool.

To incentivize adoption, the company announced that Hy3 will be available free of charge on WorkBuddy worldwide until August 31. This rollout follows the official launch of the model last month and serves as a central component of the company's strategy to compete against global AI leaders.

Tencent reported that Hy3's API call volume increased more than 68-fold compared to the previous generation. Additionally, the model ranked first on the OpenRouter global large language model usage leaderboard during its first week of release. Poshu Yeung, senior vice-president of Tencent Cloud, stated that Hy3 would enable organisations to "move beyond AI experimentation and put intelligence to work in practical, trusted and scalable ways."
