Shell Sells French Fuel Retail Network to DCC Energy

Shell agreed to sell its French fuel retail stations and transport-fuels services to Dublin-based DCC Energy to focus on primary cash-flow markets.

Shell reached an agreement to sell its network of fuel retail stations and transport-fuels services in France to Dublin-based DCC Energy. The transaction includes approximately 70 sites, eight LNG installations, and the transfer of 35 employees.

Under the terms of the deal, DCC Energy will operate the stations under a long-term Shell brand license. However, Shell's core fuel supply operations are excluded from the sale, meaning the buyer must source fuel independently. The monetary value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Shell is divesting these assets to concentrate its fuel retail and charging operations on primary cash-flow markets, specifically the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2027, pending consultation with employee representatives.
