Kalyan Jewellers Reports 38 Percent Revenue Growth for Q1 FY27

Kalyan Jewellers India Limited reported a 38 percent increase in Q1 FY27 revenue while launching a new regional brand for the Tamil Nadu market.

Kalyan Jewellers India Limited reported its Q1 FY27 financial results on August 4, 2026, announcing consolidated revenue of ₹1,05,889 million, a 38 percent increase year-over-year. Consolidated profit after tax rose 32.2 percent to ₹3,487 million.

Despite the growth, the company faced margin compression, with its EBITDA margin falling from 7 percent to 6 percent. Management attributed this decline to promotional spending, a 54 percent surge in employee costs, and higher volumes of old-gold exchanges. These pressures were partially offset by a ₹41 crore gain resulting from import duty hikes.

To accelerate expansion across India and the Middle East, the company is implementing a capital-efficient Franchise Owned Company Operated model. Additionally, the retailer is entering the Tamil Nadu market with a dedicated regional brand, Akshaya Thanga Maligai, which will open its first showroom in Chennai on August 21, 2026.
