Nissan Launches Rogue e-Power Hybrid in United States

Nissan will introduce the Rogue e-Power hybrid to the U.S. market in November as part of a broader push to increase hybrid sales.

Nissan will launch the Rogue e-Power hybrid in the United States in November, marking the first time the company's e-Power technology will be available in the U.S. market. Nissan Americas Chairman Christian Meunier announced the move during a media briefing, stating that the company aims for hybrid vehicles to represent 30% to 40% of its total C-segment mid-sized car sales in the U.S.

The automaker plans to expand its hybrid lineup further by introducing the Kicks e-Power hybrid to the U.S. and Canada as soon as possible. Long-term goals include integrating hybrid powertrains into larger SUVs and pickup trucks. In other markets, Nissan will launch the China-made Frontier Pro plug-in hybrid pickup in Mexico and select Latin American regions.

To address tariffs imposed in early 2025, Nissan is shifting its production strategy to increase regional self-sufficiency. The company is targeting 80% localization of its U.S. manufacturing by the end of 2030.
