China Hosts Third APEC Senior Officials Meeting in Dalian
The Government of China convened over 3,000 representatives in Dalian to advance regional economic integration ahead of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen.
The Government of China hosted the Third Senior Officials' Meeting of APEC China 2026 in Dalian, Liaoning Province, from August 27 to August 28. The gathering brought together more than 3,000 representatives from member economies, the APEC Secretariat, and various observers to coordinate regional policy.
Participants conducted nearly 130 meetings and events focusing on trade, transportation, energy, and health. Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu stated that the session aimed to build consensus on the pillars of an Asia-Pacific community and foster regional economic integration.
This meeting follows two previous senior officials' sessions held in Guangzhou and Shanghai. These events serve as preparatory steps to establish deliverables for the upcoming APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Shenzhen.
