Addus HomeCare to Acquire AccentCare Personal Care Division for $275 Million

Addus HomeCare Corporation entered a definitive agreement on September 14, 2026, to acquire the personal care division of AccentCare for approximately $275 million. The transaction includes personal care operations across 10 states but excludes AccentCare's hospice and home health operations, as well as any activities within New York.

The acquisition expands the presence of Addus in Texas, Illinois, California, and Arizona, while introducing new operations in Colorado, Georgia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington. Addus intends to finance the purchase using its revolver and cash on hand.

Dirk Allison, Chairman and CEO of Addus, stated the deal is expected to be accretive to financial results and will add roughly $280 million in annualized revenue, representing a 19% increase to the company's revenue base. AccentCare CEO Laura Tortorella noted that the agreement ensures continuity of care for clients. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
