Toyota Unveils 2027 Tundra and Sequoia with Trailhunter Trim

Toyota announced updates for the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia, introducing a mid-tier Trailhunter off-road package and standard 14-inch infotainment screens.

Toyota Motor Corporation announced mid-cycle refreshes for its 2027 Tundra pickup and Sequoia SUV, introducing a new Trailhunter trim for both models. Positioned as an affordable, adventure-ready alternative to the high-end TRD Pro, the Trailhunter package is based on the SR5 trim and features Old Man Emu suspension, Michelin LTX Trail tires on bronze wheels, and enhanced underbody protection.

Both vehicles receive a revised front-end design developed by Calty Design Research. Technology upgrades are standard across the 2027 lineups, including a 14-inch infotainment screen with 5G connectivity, a built-in dash camera, and the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite. The Sequoia also introduces expanded Digital Key functionality compatible with Apple, Google, and Samsung wallets.

The Tundra retains its twin-turbocharged V6 and hybrid powertrain options, while the Sequoia continues to use the i-Force MAX twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine producing 437 hp. Toyota expects to release full pricing, specifications, and on-sale dates in the fall of 2026.
