HP and Huawei Launch New Tablets in India

HP India and Huawei released new Android and Kirin-powered tablets targeting students and professionals with prices ranging from Rs 25,999 to Rs 48,999.

Major technology firms expanded their tablet offerings in India this week, targeting students, professionals, and small businesses. HP India launched the OmniPad 12, an Android 16 device featuring a 12-inch 2K display and Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Priced starting at Rs 48,999, the tablet includes a detachable keyboard and 8GB of memory. To incentivize buyers, HP is offering Rs 5,000 cashback on select credit cards and a one-year subscription to AI tools including GPT 5 and Claude 4.

Following this, Huawei introduced two new models exclusively through Flipkart. The MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition, priced at Rs 45,999, features a 2.5K FullView display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Kirin T82B chipset. The more affordable MatePad SE 11 is priced at Rs 25,999 and utilizes a Kirin 710A chipset with an 11-inch Eye Comfort display.

While HP is distributing the OmniPad 12 across multiple channels including Amazon, Reliance, and its own HP World stores, Huawei has opted for a single-channel retail strategy via Flipkart.
