Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra Becomes First CEO of Ram Temple

Retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra assumed office on September 21, 2026, as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya. His appointment follows a recruitment process that drew 5,585 applications and was finalized on September 2.

The Trust appointed Mishra to lead a restructuring effort aimed at improving institutional management and administrative coordination of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. This leadership change comes in response to allegations that offerings and donations from devotees were stolen, prompting the Trust to prioritize transparency and tighter management of temple affairs to restore public confidence.

Mishra will reside within the temple premises to facilitate closer monitoring of daily activities and ensure faster coordination among officials. His primary responsibilities include enhancing security arrangements, managing the high volume of domestic and international visitors, and strengthening the oversight of temple operations.
