Nepal Oil Corporation Raises Fuel Prices Across Multiple Categories
Nepal Oil Corporation increased prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel on August 3, 2026, citing higher import costs from India.
The Nepal Oil Corporation increased petroleum product prices effective Monday, August 3, 2026. The state-owned corporation raised petrol prices by Rs 3 per litre, while diesel and kerosene costs increased by Rs 5 per litre. Depending on the region, these fuels now cost between Rs 197.50 and Rs 200 per litre.
Aviation fuel also saw significant price hikes. Domestic aviation fuel rose by Rs 20 per litre, and fuel for international flights departing from Kathmandu increased by USD 131 per kilolitre.
Corporation officials attributed the price adjustments to increased import costs from the most recent shipment from India. Specifically, import costs rose by Rs 20.19 per litre for petrol and Rs 39.67 per litre for diesel.
