Ryanair DAC entered a five-year partnership with Google Cloud to integrate Gemini AI tools and DeepMind models into its airline operations. The agreement provides Google Workspace and Google Cloud services to 35,000 employees to support the carrier's goal of transporting 300 million passengers annually by 2034.
The airline will use Gemini Enterprise to create custom AI agents for automating decisions and improving crew scheduling. Additionally, Ryanair DAC will employ DeepMind models, including AlphaEvolve and WeatherNext, to optimize fleet operations and maintenance.
This partnership establishes a dual-cloud strategy, as the airline continues to use Amazon Web Services to increase infrastructure resilience and mitigate the risk of technology outages. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
