Friarwood Wine and Spirits Closes After 59 Years
Friarwood Wine and Spirits is closing its business and holding a final sale after entering administration on July 3.
Friarwood Wine and Spirits, a family-run merchant founded in 1967, is closing its business after falling into administration. The company, which supplied private members' clubs, hotels, and Michelin-starred restaurants across the UK, had joint administrators William Antony Batty and Hugh Francis Jesseman appointed on July 3, 2026.
The merchant is currently conducting a closing-down sale, offering discounts of up to 60% through its website and its physical store in Parsons Green, Fulham. This closure follows a broader trend of instability across the UK high street in 2026, during which multiple airlines, travel companies, and retailers have entered liquidation or administration.
