Great Southern Mining Starts 15,000-Meter Gold Drilling Campaign
Great Southern Mining began a 15,000-meter drilling program at its Golden Boulder prospect in Western Australia to define a 3.5km gold corridor.
Great Southern Mining initiated a 15,000-meter reverse circulation drilling campaign at the Golden Boulder discovery, the flagship prospect of its Duketon gold project in Western Australia. The 12-week program seeks to define a 3.5km gold corridor and test depth extensions along the Main Line, Eastern Line, and Ogilvies trends. The company is funding the operation using $4.6 million from a recent equity placement.
Managing Director Matthew Keane noted that recent diamond drilling at Golden Boulder improved the company's understanding of the geological settings hosting gold mineralization. He stated this has led to a reinterpretation of gold-bearing structures, which suggests potential for significant depth extensions. Following the completion of work at Golden Boulder, drilling operations will shift to the Amy Clarke prospect.
Separately, the company completed a 3,100-meter drilling program at the Mon Ami gold project near Laverton. Assay results from that project are expected within three to four weeks. The company's strategic positioning remains a key factor, with the Garden Well processing plant operated by Regis Resources located 15km from the Golden Boulder site.
