IHG and SKS Group to Build Holiday Inn Express Perth
IHG Hotels & Resorts and SKS Group signed an agreement to convert a former office building into a 103-room hotel in central Perth.
IHG Hotels & Resorts and SKS Group signed an agreement on October 26 to develop the Holiday Inn Express Perth City Centre. The project will convert the former Singapore Airlines House office building at 178 St Georges Terrace into a 103-room hotel using the brand's Generation 5 design.
The new property will feature an EXPRESS Café & Bar, a gym, and one meeting room. Located in the central business district near Elizabeth Quay and the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, the hotel targets both corporate and leisure travelers. IHG has not yet announced a specific opening date or room rates for the property.
This project marks the second Australian partnership between the two companies. It follows the development of the 170-room Holiday Inn Express Cockburn, which is scheduled to open in December 2026. The conversion aims to repurpose an existing commercial building to meet growing demand in the Perth hotel sector.
