Maruti Suzuki Launches 2026 Brezza Facelift With 5-Star Safety Rating

Maruti Suzuki launched the 2026 Brezza facelift in India featuring a new turbo-petrol engine and a top 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd launched the 2026 Brezza facelift on July 24, 2026, following a preview that highlighted the vehicle's top-tier safety performance. The compact SUV earned a 5-star Bharat New Car Assessment Program rating, scoring 30.41 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection and 43 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection. Safety features now include six airbags as standard across all variants, an electronic stability program, a 360-degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems.

The facelift introduces a redesigned front fascia with a smoked chrome grille and LED headlamps, while the interior features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The powertrain lineup expands to include a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 109 PS and 170 Nm of torque, alongside the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. A factory-fitted CNG version is also available on LXi, VXi, and ZXi trims, featuring an underbody-mounted tank to increase luggage space and a fuel efficiency of 26.90 km/kg.

Available in LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+ variants, the vehicle enters the market with an introductory starting price of approximately Rs 7.39 lakh to Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi stated that the 5-star rating reinforces customer confidence and reflects the company's focus on building safer vehicles for Indian roads.
