Tesco Recalls Caesar Coleslaw Over Undeclared Mustard Risk

The supermarket retailer Tesco is recalling its Tesco Finest Caesar & Smoked Bacon Coleslaw in 270g packets with a use-by date of September 4. The recall follows a packaging error where some packs may actually contain Tesco Finest Four Cheese Potato Salad. Because the potato salad contains mustard that is not declared on the coleslaw label, the product poses a health risk to customers with mustard allergies.

The Food Standards Agency announced the recall on September 3, stating that the retailer has contacted relevant allergy support organizations to notify their members. Tesco has advised customers who bought the affected product and have a mustard allergy to not eat it.

Customers can return the mislabeled product to any store for a full refund without providing a receipt. The company confirmed that no other Tesco products are affected by this specific recall.
