Israeli Forces Raid Qalandia and Evacuate UNRWA Facility

Israeli forces raided Kafr Aqab and the Qalandia refugee camp, where National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir ordered the evacuation of a UNRWA facility.

Israeli forces conducted raids in the town of Kafr Aqab and the Qalandia refugee camp north of occupied Jerusalem on August 25, 2026. During the operation, military forces deployed across neighborhoods, ransacked homes, and performed field interrogations of local residents.

Itamar Ben-Gvir, the Israeli National Security Minister, participated in the raids and specifically targeted a facility operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). Ben-Gvir announced an operation to evacuate the building, stating that "there is no place for the agency in Jerusalem and Israel."

As part of the military action, IMI Systems issued demolition notices in Kafr Aqab and detained 40 employees at the Qalandiya Training Institute. The operation resulted in the evacuation and demolition of the UNRWA Qalandiya Vocational Training Center.
