Sanjay Raut Demands Probe Into Ram Mandir Trust Treasurer
Sanjay Raut called for an investigation into Ram Mandir Trust Treasurer Govind Dev Giri Maharaj following alleged financial irregularities and treasury theft in Ayodhya.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has demanded a formal investigation into Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, the Treasurer of the Ram Mandir Trust, regarding the alleged theft of hundreds of crores of rupees and financial irregularities at the Ayodhya temple. Raut argued that the treasurer bears the primary responsibility for safeguarding funds and maintaining accounts, criticizing the reliance on auditors from Pune as insufficient for a site of national significance.
To raise public awareness over the misappropriation, Shiv Sena (UBT) is launching the Ram Raksha initiative on July 18 in Nagpur. Raut formally invited Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to attend the event, citing Fadnavis's identity as a devotee of Lord Ram.
Beyond the temple controversy, Raut stated that any decisions regarding the proposed parliamentary seat increase through the Delimitation Bill must be made collectively by the INDIA alliance partners.
