Sarah's Trust Closes After Documents Reveal Jeffrey Epstein Ties

The non-profit organization Sarah's Trust, founded in 2020 by Sarah Ferguson to support humanitarian and environmental projects, has formally wound up and been removed from the public register of charities. The closure follows a period of suspension and intense scrutiny after the United States Department of Justice released millions of documents, including emails suggesting Ferguson remained in contact with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while he was imprisoned.

Released files revealed that Ferguson once described Epstein as "the brother I have always wished for" and a "supreme friend." Her spokesperson claimed the latter note was written to assuage threats from Epstein to sue her, further stating that Ferguson was "taken in by his lies."

Beyond the closure of her own trust, seven other organizations have severed ties with Ferguson. This includes Julia's House, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, Prevent Breast Cancer, and the Teenage Cancer Trust. These organizations stated it was inappropriate for her to continue as a patron in light of the revelations. Ferguson has also lost her courtesy royal titles, her residence at Royal Lodge in Windsor, and the freedom of the city of York.

These events parallel the fallout faced by her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his royal titles and military affiliations due to his own friendship with Epstein.
