Adani Group Raises Rs 43,500 Crore Through Equity Fundraising

Adani Group raised Rs 43,500 crore via rights issues and institutional placements to fund infrastructure projects, debt reduction, and corporate acquisitions.

The Adani Group raised approximately Rs 43,500 crore through equity fundraising over a period of eight to nine months. This capital influx includes a Rs 25,000-crore rights issue and a Rs 15,000-crore qualified institutional placement (QIP) conducted by Adani Enterprises Limited, as well as a Rs 3,500-crore QIP completed by Adani Energy Solutions Limited on July 28, 2026.

Adani Energy Solutions Limited issued approximately 21.7 million equity shares at ₹1,615 per share, a 5.18% discount to the previous day's closing price. The offering was oversubscribed 3.1 times, attracting over ₹10,800 crore in interest from domestic mutual funds, insurance companies, foreign institutional investors, and Premji Invest. While institutional demand was high, the company's shares declined approximately 3% in the secondary market.

The conglomerate intends to deploy these funds for capital expenditure on infrastructure projects, including airports and data centers, as well as loan repayments and acquisitions. Specific targets include the ₹3,050 crore acquisition of IntelliSmart Infrastructure.

Despite ongoing DOJ-SEC proceedings, the group continues to access global and domestic capital markets. Domestic mutual fund holdings across the group's five largest listed companies have reached a record Rs 1 lakh crore. The group plans to raise an additional $3 billion to $4 billion over the next six months through Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and Adani Enterprises Limited.
