The Military of Russia launched 332 drones and various missiles at Ukraine, with the Ukrainian Air Force intercepting 293 of the targets.

The Military of Russia launched a large-scale aerial assault on Ukraine on October 17, deploying 332 attack drones alongside a variety of cruise and ballistic missiles. The attack utilized Iskander-M and KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from annexed Crimea and the Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as Kalibr and Kh-22/32 cruise missiles.

The drone fleet included Shahed-type units, 31 jet-powered drones, and several decoy models, including the Parodiya, Gerbera, and S-8000 Banderol. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that by 8 a.m. Kyiv time, air defense forces had neutralized 293 targets, consisting of 289 unmanned aerial vehicles and four Kalibr cruise missiles.
