Baloch National Movement Protests Pakistani Human Rights Abuses in Germany

The Baloch National Movement held a rally in Hannover to denounce extrajudicial killings and demand international investigations into human rights abuses in Balochistan.

The Baloch National Movement organized a protest rally in Hannover, Germany, on October 13, 2026, to denounce human rights abuses committed by Pakistani forces in Balochistan. Demonstrators marched from the central Kröpcke area to the Lower Saxony State Parliament, where they distributed leaflets and chanted slogans.

Speakers from the movement and the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement highlighted systemic issues of torture, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings. They specifically cited the deaths of five civilians in the Panjgur district in August 2026. The organization called on the United Nations and the international community to launch independent investigations and recognize the right of the Baloch people to self-determination.

This demonstration follows a similar protest held by the movement earlier in October in Seattle, United States. During the Seattle event, activists urged the U.S. government to condition its financial assistance to Pakistan on the country's respect for human rights.
