AeroVironment Invests $100 Million in Moorpark Campus
AeroVironment is investing $100 million to consolidate five Southern California facilities into a single 20-acre campus in Moorpark by 2029.
AeroVironment, Inc. is investing $100 million to develop a company-owned campus in Moorpark, California, consolidating research, engineering, design, prototyping, and production operations. The project will move activities from five leased Southern California locations onto a single 20-acre site to reduce operational friction and support the development of electronic warfare capabilities, loitering munitions, and autonomous systems.
The company closed on the primary property during its fiscal second quarter. Renovation and construction are scheduled to begin in fiscal 2028, with the campus expected to be fully operational by 2029. This investment is already included in the company's fiscal 2027 capital expenditure guidance.
Wahid Nawabi, the company's Chairman, President, and CEO, stated that the investment "reaffirms AV’s enduring commitment to California, where the company was founded more than five decades ago."
