City of Owasso Increases Utility Rates by 3 Percent

The City of Owasso will increase utility rates for residents beginning October 1. Monthly charges for water, sewer, refuse, and stormwater services will rise by an average of 3 percent. For a typical household using 7,000 gallons of water per month with one trash cart, the monthly cost will increase by $3.81.

City officials intend to allocate the additional revenue toward water and sewer infrastructure projects. The rate adjustment also addresses rising expenditures for labor, materials, equipment, and landfill disposal fees. The city stated that these adjustments help the municipality continue providing reliable utility services while maintaining the systems the community relies on daily.
