Ford Recalls Over 104,000 F-Series Trucks for Multiple Defects

Ford Motor Company is recalling more than 104,000 F-Series pickup trucks to fix faulty instrument clusters and improperly secured front seats.

Ford Motor Company is recalling over 104,000 F-Series pickup trucks across two separate safety campaigns involving instrument cluster failures and seat stability issues. The largest action affects 102,159 trucks in the United States, including 2025-2026 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, and F-600 models, as well as 2026 F-150 and F-750 SD trucks. In these vehicles, analog tachometers and speedometers may move erratically or freeze, providing inaccurate readings of vehicle velocity and engine speed.

In a separate recall, the company is addressing 2,276 F-150 pickup trucks from the 2025 to 2027 model years. This recall follows a production error where a team leader failed to confirm the completion of repairs, leaving some front seat bolts missing or improperly seated. This defect reduces seat stability and could degrade occupant restraint performance during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Ford reported 56 warranty and 16 field reports regarding the seat issue as of July 9, 2026, but stated it is not aware of any resulting injuries or crashes. Dealerships will replace the faulty instrument cluster modules and inspect or tighten front seat bolts free of charge. Owners of the affected F-150s will be notified by letter starting October 26, 2026.
