Yunnan Village Launches Buckwheat Project for Rural Revitalization

Zhonghe Village in Lincang City, Yunnan Province, has launched a buckwheat planting project as a central component of a wider rural revitalization effort. The initiative integrates agriculture, culture, and tourism to establish a sustainable economic development path for the local community.

Sun Yat-sen University provided a support team to guide the project, which is being executed in coordination with a local planting and breeding cooperative. The effort aligns with broader strategies by the Government of China to revitalize rural regions through specialized agricultural production and the creation of characteristic industry paths.
