Humanoid Becomes Europe's First Humanoid Robotics Unicorn After $152 Million Round
Humanoid raised $152 million in Series A funding to mass-produce industrial robots, achieving a $1.35 billion valuation and partnering with Robert Bosch GmbH for manufacturing.
London-based robotics startup Humanoid (operating as SKL Robotics Ltd.) has raised $152 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $270 million. Led by Prime Movers Lab, the round included investments from Robert Bosch GmbH, Schaeffler AG, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures. The investment gives the two-year-old company a post-money valuation of $1.35 billion, making it the first pure-play humanoid robotics unicorn in Europe.
The company develops industrial robots powered by its proprietary AI framework, KinetIQ. Its primary offering is the HMND 01, a wheeled platform designed for higher energy efficiency and easier safety certification in Europe than bipedal models. Humanoid plans to utilize the new capital to advance R&D for general-purpose AI and begin mass manufacturing of these wheel-based models. Beta robots are scheduled for rollout in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Strategic partnerships are central to the company's scaling strategy. Robert Bosch GmbH will serve as the contract manufacturing partner, providing technical expertise in hardware design and supply chain management. Additionally, Humanoid signed a commercial agreement with Schaeffler AG to deploy between 1,000 and 2,000 wheeled units by 2032. The startup has also established partnerships with Nvidia, SAP, and Siemens to integrate its robots into logistics, manufacturing, and retail sectors.
