Inter-Party Advisory Council Warns Against Osun Election Manipulation
The Inter-Party Advisory Council rejected vote buying and demanded impartiality from electoral officials ahead of the August 15 Osun State governorship election.
The Inter-Party Advisory Council rejected vote buying and warned against the manipulation of the August 15 Osun State governorship election during a General Assembly meeting in Abuja on Monday. National Chairman Yusuf M. Dantalle called for the de-escalation of political tensions, citing concerns over insecurity, violence, and the use of state institutions to suppress political opponents.
IPAC specifically condemned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for freezing Osun State Government accounts. The council described the move as politically motivated and detrimental to essential services and civil servants.
The council demanded professionalism and impartiality from the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies. IPAC asserted that the electoral process must reflect the will of the electorate without intimidation or undue interference.
