Hanwha Aerospace Exports K9 Howitzers to Spain

Hanwha Aerospace announced in a regulatory filing on Monday that it will export K9 howitzers to Spain. This agreement marks the first time the self-propelled artillery system will enter the Western European market, increasing the total number of countries operating the K9 to eleven.

The company kept the specific contract value and delivery schedule confidential. However, it disclosed a payment structure consisting of an initial 20 percent of the contract value upon signing, with an additional five percent due by the end of the year.

Hanwha Aerospace has previously exported the K9 system to a diverse group of nations, including Poland, Finland, India, Norway, Estonia, Australia, Egypt, Romania, and Türkiye.
