Kazakhstan Partners with Nvidia and Firebird for $10 Billion AI Hub

The Government of Kazakhstan signed agreements with Nvidia and Firebird Inc. to build a $10 billion AI data center complex in Pavlodar.

The Government of Kazakhstan partnered with Nvidia Corp. and Firebird Inc. to develop a massive artificial intelligence infrastructure project with potential investments totaling $10 billion. The initiative centers on the creation of Data Center Valley in the northeast region of Pavlodar, designed to establish the country as a primary Eurasian digital hub by leveraging its land and low-cost energy.

The project aims to build AI data centers with a total capacity of at least 300 MW. The first phase requires $5 billion in investment, including $1 billion from state-run Kazakhtelecom. A 125-megawatt facility is expected to begin commercial operations in 2027. Under the terms of the agreement, Firebird will secure and finance the computing infrastructure, while Kazakhtelecom manages power and connectivity.

Nvidia will provide critical hardware, including GB300 and Vera Rubin GPUs, along with design support. Kazakh officials estimate the project will generate at least $3 billion in annual export revenue and attract global technology companies to the region.
