Blink Digital Sues Meta for ₹1,158 Crore in Mumbai

Blink Digital filed a ₹1,158-crore lawsuit against Meta Platforms after the tech giant disabled the agency's primary business accounts and corporate pages.

Digital agency Blink Digital filed a ₹1,158-crore commercial lawsuit against Meta Platforms Inc. and Facebook India Online Services in the Bombay High Court. The legal action follows Meta's decision on August 3, 2026, to disable four of the agency's primary Business Manager accounts and corporate pages.

Blink Digital alleges that the account suspensions brought its business operations to a standstill. The agency further claims that Meta violated India's Information Technology Rules, 2021, by failing to provide due notice before the accounts were disabled.

Meta Platforms contends that the accounts were disabled for policy violations, specifically citing the promotion of scams and adult services and the bypassing of spending limits. Meta has challenged the jurisdiction of the Bombay High Court, arguing that the dispute must be resolved in California. The court is scheduled to resume hearings on October 16.
