BJP Files Police Complaint Against Pawan Khera Over Amit Shah Remarks

The Bharatiya Janata Party filed a formal police complaint in Shimla on August 24, demanding a First Information Report be registered against Congress leader Pawan Khera. The party alleges that Khera used derogatory language toward Union Home Minister Amit Shah, specifically using terms such as "dwarf", "fugitive", and "tadipaar", while making comments regarding Shah's "aukaat" or status.

A BJP delegation, led by MLA Rakesh Jamwal, submitted the complaint to the superintendent of police. The party requested an investigation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the preservation of all electronic evidence, including unedited video and audio recordings, to determine if a cognizable offense occurred.
