SkyFall to Mass Produce P1-SUN Jetkiller Interceptor Drones

SkyFall will begin mass producing the P1-SUN Jetkiller drone in August to counter high-speed Russian jet-powered Shahed attack drones.

Ukrainian defense manufacturers are accelerating the development of high-speed interceptor drones to counter jet-powered Shahed drones, known as Geran in Russia, which can reach speeds of 500 km/h. SkyFall unveiled the P1-SUN Jetkiller at the Farnborough International Airshow, a drone capable of 370 km/h at altitudes up to 9,000 meters. The system utilizes an AI-based terminal guidance system to lock onto targets within one kilometer and carries a 500-gram explosive payload with a 15-minute airborne duration.

A company spokesperson stated the Jetkiller has already destroyed more than a dozen jet-powered threats on the battlefield. SkyFall plans to begin mass production in August 2026, targeting a monthly output of 50,000 drones to support the Ukrainian government's priority on low-cost interceptor technology against munitions such as the Geran-3 and Geran-5.

Other firms are pursuing similar capabilities: General Cherry is developing a Bullet variant aiming for 500 km/h, and Firebolt Engineering is creating the Griffen, which currently reaches 350 km/h. Industry leaders and investors emphasize the need for low unit costs to ensure these systems remain attritable in high-volume warfare.
