UN Rapporteur Warns Gaza Genocide Continues After Three Years

Francesca Albanese warns that the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains catastrophic and the genocide has not ended three years after its onset.

United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese warned that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains catastrophic three years after the onset of what she characterizes as an ongoing genocide. She stated that the massive scale of destruction in Gaza and deteriorating conditions in the occupied West Bank require immediate action that goes beyond diplomatic condemnations.

Albanese highlighted a pattern of killings, arrests, and restrictions on gatherings in the West Bank. She argued that describing Palestinians as genocide survivors is misleading because approximately 70 percent of Gaza remains under occupation and widespread destruction continues.

Addressing the global community, Albanese questioned the response of governments that support the occupation, asserting that "the ongoing genocide in Gaza has not ended despite three years passing since its onset."
