Dalaroo Metals Expands Watheroo Copper-Nickel Prospect in Australia

Dalaroo Metals expanded its Watheroo prospect in Western Australia after soil sampling returned peak copper and nickel values.

Dalaroo Metals expanded the footprint of its Watheroo copper-nickel-platinum group elements prospect in Western Australia's mid-north wheatbelt. A first-stage soil sampling program consisting of 106 samples extended a key copper anomaly by two square kilometres, returning peak values of 284 parts per million copper and 176 ppm nickel, as well as traces of gold, palladium, and platinum.

The company is applying a Julimar-style magmatic sulphide exploration model to a 7-km by 3km magnetic anomaly on the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton. To build on these results, the company plans to collect 360 additional soil samples for infill and northward extension. This phase will be followed by ground-based induced polarisation geophysics to locate chargeable anomalies at depth before the company begins its maiden drilling campaign.

Beyond the Watheroo project, the company is advancing a rare earths project in southern Greenland and a gold drilling campaign in Côte d’Ivoire.
