N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, declared that India is on a trajectory to become the world's largest economy by 2047. Speaking at the PAN-IIT Andhra Pradesh Summit 2026 in Vijayawada, Naidu stated he is "100% confident" in this outcome, citing India's current position as the world's fourth-largest economy and its growth since the 1991 reforms.

The summit, organized by Pan IIT Alumni India, focused on the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 and the potential for Andhra Pradesh to serve as a hub for DeepTech, Quantum Technology, and AI. Naidu noted that the state's technological landscape is being expanded through digital infrastructure and data center investments from global and domestic entities, including Google, the Adani Group, and Reliance.
