David Jolly and Byron Donalds Lead Florida Governor Race

Donalds is focusing his closing message on affordability and property-insurance costs, while characterizing Jolly as an out-of-touch liberal. Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins is challenging Donalds by positioning himself as a day-one ready executive and questioning Donalds' connection to working families.

Democrats face a steep climb in the November 3 general election, as Republicans hold a voter registration advantage of over 1.5 million. While Jolly attempts to prove Florida remains a competitive battleground, Republican communications director Gates McGavick claims voters will reject Jolly's platform as too radical.
