Saab Orders Triple to 6.6 Billion Dollars in Q3

Saab reported third-quarter revenue and earnings exceeding expectations, driven by a surge in new orders including fighter jets for Ukraine.

Saab AB reported third-quarter earnings and revenue that exceeded analyst expectations, fueled by a surge in new orders that more than tripled compared to the previous year. New orders reached 65.8 billion Swedish kronor ($6.6 billion), surpassing FactSet forecasts of 56.4 billion kronor.

A primary driver of this growth was a 24.6 billion kronor contract signed in June to supply 16 Gripen E fighter jets to Ukraine, with deliveries scheduled for 2029-2030. Other significant contributions included a 10.1 billion kronor deal for GlobalEye surveillance aircraft for a Middle Eastern customer and an 8.7 billion kronor order for German frigate systems.

Despite increased profitability and financial growth, the company's stock has declined recently. Investors have expressed concerns regarding whether current industry valuations have outpaced actual delivery capabilities.
