Israel Destroys Hamas Weapons Depots in Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency destroyed two Hamas weapons storage facilities in the Al-Bureij and Gaza City areas on Thursday night. The military reported that the depots contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, RPGs, explosive devices, Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, and magazines.

To minimize civilian casualties, the military issued advance warnings to the local population and utilized aerial surveillance and precision munitions. Security forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the region to degrade terrorist capabilities and prevent the stockpiling of weapons intended for use against troops.

The Israel Defense Forces stated that security forces will continue operating in order to degrade the capabilities of terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip and thwart any attempt to restore them or stockpile weapons intended to harm IDF troops.
