Meta is offering voluntary severance packages to approximately 100 employees in France to streamline its workforce through a collective labor arrangement.
Meta is offering voluntary exit packages to select employees in France to streamline its workforce. The company is utilizing a French labor arrangement known as Rupture Conventionnelle Collective (RCC), which allows it to negotiate voluntary departures with trade unions and employee representatives instead of implementing compulsory layoffs.
The program potentially affects one-third of the company's 300-person workforce in France, making roughly 100 employees eligible. Eligible staff have until November 5 to apply for the program.
Severance packages include 2.15 months of salary for every year of service, calculated at 80% of the employee's gross salary. Meta is also providing professional retraining and support for employees who intend to start new businesses.
