City Different Investments Identifies Three AI Infrastructure Plays

Connor Browne of City Different Investments highlighted Talen Energy, Flex, and MonotaRO as key beneficiaries of the AI infrastructure boom.

Connor Browne, CEO of City Different Investments, identified three companies positioned to profit from the AI infrastructure expansion beyond traditional chipmakers and hyperscalers. Browne highlighted Talen Energy for its Susquehanna nuclear plant, which operates under a long-term agreement to provide up to 1,920 megawatts of carbon-free electricity to Amazon data centers.

Browne also pointed to Flex, which plans to spin off its cloud and power infrastructure operations into a new entity named Axiom during the first quarter of 2027. He believes this strategic move will unlock significant valuation for the company.

Finally, Browne noted the growth potential of MonotaRO, a Japanese online distributor of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies. Partially owned by Grainger, the company is recognized for its high return on equity and low market penetration within the Japanese industrial sector.
