JPMorgan and Goldman Limit Exposure to Volta AI Loan

JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs underwrote only $1.3 billion of a $5 billion loan sale for AI startup Volta Infrastructure Holdings.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. have limited their financial exposure to a $5 billion loan sale for the artificial intelligence cloud company Volta Infrastructure Holdings Ltd. While the two banks are leading the offering, they have underwritten only a $1.3 billion term loan.

The banks declined to underwrite a separate $3.7 billion chip loan. This decision serves as a hedge against potential risks as investors increasingly demand higher yields for debt tied to the artificial intelligence boom.
