Zain Bahrain Reports Q2 Profit Rise After Infonas Acquisition
Zain Bahrain reported a 1.4% increase in second-quarter net profit to BD1.39 million while completing the full acquisition of digital solutions firm Infonas.
Zain Bahrain reported a 1.4% increase in second-quarter 2026 net profit attributable to shareholders, totaling BD1.39 million. First-half profits also rose by 1.2% to reach BD2.57 million. These gains occurred despite a decline in revenue, which fell 3.9% to BD19.46 million in the second quarter and 1.9% to BD40.48 million for the first half of the year. The company attributed these revenue losses to regional geopolitical tensions and broader market challenges.
To drive future growth, the company completed the 100% acquisition of Infonas's share capital to enhance its enterprise and digital solutions capabilities. Additionally, the company expanded AI-driven customer engagement via the OneCX platform and launched new mobile plans targeted at youth.
Zain Bahrain also renewed a partnership with the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications to provide services for the Small Ships Registration Office and Bahrain Post. As of June 30, 2026, the company's total assets stood at BD154.41 million.
