Brokerage Firms Prepare for US Compute Futures Trading
Commodity brokerage firms are preparing to launch compute futures trading in the United States pending regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Several commodity brokerage firms are preparing for the potential launch of compute futures trading in the United States. These financial derivatives would enable institutional investors, including commercial companies and hedge funds, to trade contracts tied to the cost of renting computing power required for artificial intelligence operations and development.
ADM Investor Services, Inc., BGC Group Inc, and Nanhua USA LLC are among the firms positioning themselves to facilitate these trades between customers and exchanges. The launch of these instruments depends on regulatory approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which is currently considering the proposal.
