Yemeni Government Forces Repel Houthi Offensive in Taiz
Government of Yemen forces repelled a Houthi militant offensive northeast of Taiz, killing eight attackers and wounding 15 others.
The Government of Yemen repelled an offensive by Houthi militants on Tuesday along the Kalaba front, located northeast of Taiz. Government units engaged the attackers in the Al-Safa area using heavy and medium-range weaponry to secure their defensive lines.
The clashes resulted in the deaths of eight Houthi militants and left at least 15 others wounded. The Houthi militia also sustained damage to military equipment before retreating from the area.
The region remains volatile, characterized by frequent clashes between government-aligned formations and Houthi forces. These militants are reportedly supported by advisors from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
