Apple Increases Apple Music and Apple One Subscription Prices Globally

Apple Inc. increased subscription prices for Apple Music and several Apple One bundles across global markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, India, Europe, Australia, and Brazil. The company stated the price hikes are the result of rising licensing costs associated with payments to music labels and rights holders. This represents the first global price increase for the service since October 2022.

In the United States, the individual plan rose from $10.99 to $11.99, the student plan from $5.99 to $6.99, and the family plan from $16.99 to $19.99. Apple One bundles also saw increases, with the Family tier rising to $27.95 and the Premier plan to $39.95. In India, the individual plan increased to Rs 139, the family plan to Rs 229, and the student plan to Rs 69.

The updated pricing is effective immediately for new subscribers and will apply to existing users in their next billing cycle. While the U.S. individual plan remains cheaper than Spotify's $12.99 premium plan, the move follows similar pricing trends observed with competitors such as Spotify and Tidal.
