Google Launches Pixel 11 Portfolio and Expands India Production
Google released its Pixel 11 smartphone lineup and Pixel Watch 5 in India while planning to shift manufacturing from China to India next year.
Google launched its Pixel 11 portfolio in India, introducing the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, alongside the Pixel Watch 5. The new hardware utilizes the Google Tensor G6 chip, the Titan M3 security chip, and AI integration through the Gemini Nano model. Smartphone pricing ranges from Rs 89,999 to Rs 1,86,999, while the Pixel Watch 5 starts at Rs 42,900.
The product release coincides with a strategic shift in the company's supply chain. Google plans to move the production of smartphones, smartwatches, and earbuds from China to India starting next year. This transition builds on local production of select models that began in August 2024 through partnerships with suppliers including Foxconn.
Devices are available via the Google Store, Flipkart, Vijay Sales, and Reliance Digital. Mitul Shah, Managing Director of Devices and Services for Google India, stated that the Pixel 11 portfolio is designed around everyday needs and that the company remains focused on solving daily friction for Indian consumers.
