Samsung Unveils Odyssey Monitors With 1,100Hz Refresh Rate
Samsung Electronics introduced a new Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom, featuring a world-first 1,100Hz refresh rate on the Odyssey G6.
Samsung Electronics unveiled a new lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, introducing several industry firsts in display technology. The primary announcement is the Odyssey G6, a 27-inch QHD monitor that achieves a world-first 1,100Hz refresh rate when running at HD resolution and 600Hz at its native QHD resolution.
The company also introduced the Odyssey OLED G9, a 49-inch Dual QHD display with a 360Hz refresh rate, and the Odyssey OLED G7, which is the first 42-inch curved gaming screen. Additionally, the Odyssey OLED G8 was presented as a 32-inch 4K tandem OLED featuring a 360Hz refresh rate and triple mode capabilities.
Beyond individual models, Samsung announced that its display division will begin mass-producing 24.5-inch QD-OLED panels for eSports later this year. The company also reaffirmed its commitment to HDR10+ gaming support and glasses-free 3D technology. The Odyssey G6 is expected to launch globally in the second half of 2026, with the remaining models slated for release in 2027.
