AGIBOT Launches Robot-as-a-Service Model in Australia and New Zealand
AGIBOT launched a Robot-as-a-Service network in Melbourne to deploy humanoid and specialized robots across mining, cleaning, and education sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
Chinese embodied AI company AGIBOT hosted the Australia and New Zealand AGIBOT Partner Conference (APC) 2026 in Melbourne on July 17, 2026. During the event, the company introduced a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model intended to lower upfront investment costs for customers. Under this framework, AGIBOT provides the robots while local partners manage logistics, technical support, and deployment.
The company debuted the A3 robot and showcased a fleet of humanoid, quadruped, and cleaning robots. These tools are targeted for use in mining, commercial cleaning, facility management, research, education, and cultural entertainment. AGIBOT reported a cumulative production of 15,000 units as of June 2026 and announced plans to provide technical certification and training to regional partners to ensure sustainable commercial deployments.
Local partners, including the P&E family office and property group Riverlee, indicated plans to integrate these solutions into their operations. Melbourne Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece noted that artificial intelligence could enhance urban efficiency, though he emphasized the necessity of accompanying regulatory frameworks.
