NNPC Reports N4.97 Trillion Revenue for April 2026
Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reported a 79 percent revenue increase in April 2026, driven by record crude oil and condensate production.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reported a revenue of N4.97 trillion for April 2026, a 79 percent increase from N2.77 trillion in March. Profit after tax rose 74 percent to N481 billion, up from N276 billion the previous month. These gains were driven by crude oil and condensate production reaching 1.68 million barrels per day, the highest level in 12 months. Between January and April 2026, the company remitted N3.71 trillion in statutory payments to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Operational milestones included the completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas pipeline reaching 94 percent completion. However, the company faced infrastructure setbacks, including delays in starting the Trans Ramos Pipeline due to leaks and integrity issues. Petrol availability at retail stations also declined slightly from 56 percent in March to 54 percent in April, while gas production remained stable at approximately 7.7 billion standard cubic feet per day.
Parallel to its financial reporting, the NNPC Foundation conducted social interventions. These included rehabilitating three wards at the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Lagos and providing humanitarian aid to flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State.
